Melih is leading strategy, transformation and M&A practice areas of Strategy Loop. He has 20 years of execution and advisory experience in top notch corporates and diverse conglomerates with focus on industrial manufacturing, energy, financial services, consumer goods, aerospace, defense, and logistics. 

 

Melih advised more than 100 local and international clients in critical strategic planning, business development, corporate development and post-merger integration phases.  He sourced, structured and executed M&A projects in financial services, industrial manufacturing, aerospace and e-commerce corresponding to $10 Billion deal volume.  Melih is also specialized in ESG financing and green transition, closely partnering with international financial institutions to support green transition.

 

​Melih holds an MSc degree in Development Management and Political Economy from London School of Economics (LSE) and a joint BSc degree in Management from Mount Ida College and Yeditepe University.

Emrah qualified in Petroleum Engineering at the Middle East Technical University in 1995 and obtained a M.Sc in Risk Assessment and Engineering Economics from the same university in 1998. As part of his M.Sc studies he worked on energy strategies in Germany. He later joined Bilkent University as a lecturer and also took various executive roles at British Petroleum  between 2000 and 2017 in strategy, business development, M&A, international investments, finance, public policy, government negotiations.  

In 2004 he was seconded to the Petroleum Industry Association where he closely worked with government, regulatory authorities, as well as peer companies for the preparation of legislative framework in Turkey.  Between 2019 and 2023, he worked as an Advisor to the Country Chair at Shell Turkiye and represented Shell in local and international platforms, carrying out sustainability and energy transformation projects.  

 

He also completed executive educational work in the field of Sustainability and Circular Economy Strategies at the University of Cambridge.​

Mr. Yalova is a former State Minister of Turkey and took key roles in 19th, 20th and 21st governments between 1991 and 2002.  In addition to his minister role, Mr. Yalova also served as the Vice President of Turkish Grand National Assembly for three consecutive terms. 

 

During his tenure, Mr. Yalova supervised top privatization projects, also playing a key role in policy and regulation design, industrial strategy development and policy execution.  He is specialized in mining, energy, agrobusiness and industrial manufacturing.

Mr. Yalova graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 1979, carried out academic studies at the Faculty of Law and Economics at the University of Nice, France between 1981-1983.  He completed his master’s degree in Political Sciences in 1985 at Marmara University followed by his doctorate program in 1994.

Mr. Yalova is the President of the Turkish - French Cultural Association, Vice President of the African Diplomatic Academy, and National Board Member of Energy Disputes Arbitration Center.

Erkin has 30 years of executive experience in strategic marketing and international business development at various multinational and local corporations.  He developed and led various business development projects in the field of international logistics, cargo & express parcel, e-commerce and retail in a wide geography including Turkey, USA, Hong Kong and United Arab Emirates.

Erkin took senior executive roles at government and private sector initiatives, presenting his leadership skills in marketing, business development and international partnerships.  He is a pioneer in business transformation projects for e-commerce, logistics and interrelated digital commercial activities.  Regardless of their industries, he has been advising more than 135 clients and developed 20 strategic partnerships and alliance programs matching logistics players with retail and e-commerce players in Turkey, Europe and in the GCC.

Asena is in charge of Strategy Loop's government and third-sector projects; assisting our clients in their engagements with various local and international industrial support schemes.

She has years of academic experience where she developed and oversaw more than 30 national and international projects, covering key industries including engineering, medicine, social sciences, defence and electronics.

She is specialized in industrial model analysis, market asessment and strategy development. In addition to these skill sets, she has also provided professional support to technology start-ups through the university's incubation center. She participated to the development of 6 successful technology start-ups and took managerial roles during their inital growth stages. 

 

Asena holds a BSc degree in Management Engineering from Bahcesehir University and earned her MSc degree in Industrial Engineering from the same university.
